XAMÃ é meu mais recente trabalho musical idealizado ano passado como uma resposta à situação cruel em que vivemos neste momento que diz respeito à nossa relação com a natureza e aos habitantes das florestas, em especial os índios.
Semana que vem terei a oportunidade de fazer a estréia mundial do projeto no evento Audioblast#8 na cidade de Nantes, na França. O tema em questão é "E-missões globais". A data da apresentação (23 de fevereiro) é o chamado "Dia da Superação da Terra" (EOD), a data anual do calendário quando o consumo recursos da humanidade excede a capacidade de regeneração da Terra. No ano passado essa data caiu em 29 de julho.
O evento em Nantes contará com mesas redondas, debates, apresentações musicais, exposições de artes plásticas e transmissões on-line vindas de diversos cantos do mundo. É dentro desse contexto que vou apresentar Xamã, uma obra de música eletrônica experimental de 30 minutos de duração. O horário será as 16:30 (horário da França, 12:30 no Brasil e poderá ser ouvida no endereço abaixo :

A introduçaõ é uma composição minimalista na qual diversas etnias e tribos indígenas são citadas por uma voz robótica. O meu objetivo foi juntar beleza e estranhamento:

Next week I will have the opportunity to make a world premiere at the Audioblast#8 in Nantes, France. The thematic is "Global E-missions". The date is (Feb-23rd) is the so called "Earth Overshoot Day (EOD), that means the calculated illustrative calendar date on which humanity’s resource consumption for the year exceeds Earth’s capacity to regenerate those resources that year. In 2019, Earth Overshoot Day was on July 29.
The event will house round tables, debates, musical presentations, art exposition e on -line transmissions coming from different places around the globe. It is inside this context that I will present the Xamã project (or Chaman, in French), a experimental electronic music work during 30 minutes.
