A Faculdade de Multimídia Criativa e a Faculdade de Artes Cinematográficas da Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malásia, organizou um simpósio sobre catalisadores de profissionais criativos chamado ROMBAK, que acontece de 16 a 16 de dezembro de 2021.The Faculty of Creative Multimedia and Faculty of Cinematic Arts, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia has organized a symposium on catalysts of creative practitioners called ROMBAK that takes place from 16th to 16th December 2021.
Rombak - que significa “reorganizar” em malaio - se refere também à resiliência criativa. Por meio de uma vitrine virtual de apresentação de arte digital, Rombak celebra a persistência da criatividade artística em reconfigurar e interromper o que está por vir. Nas próximas semanas, gostaríamos de convidar artistas e cineastas cujas obras demonstram tenacidade teimosa de mentes criativas em pressionar contra as ondas.
Enquanto navegamos em tempos difíceis, Rombak busca um trabalho que responda ao ciclo das banalidades cotidianas.
Rombak – which means “to reshuffle” in Malay, but also doubles as portmanteau for “resisting ombak” in our case – is about creative resilience. Through a virtual showcase of presenting digital artwork, Rombak celebrates the persistence of artistic creativity in reconfiguring and disrupting what is to come. In the weeks to come, we would like to invite artists and filmmakers whose works demonstrate stubborn tenacity of creative minds in pressing against the waves.
As we sail through trying times, Rombak seeks work that responds to the cycle of everydayness – banalities.
